Hello Friends of Chanje! My name is Jessica and I’m the Operations Manager for Chanje Movement/The Global Mission. I have been with with organization since 2014. I first started with The Global Mission and Chanje Movement because of my need to re-enter the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom. I had always worked in an administrative capacity in the corporate world, but my heart wanted to be a part of something that mattered and made a difference to the world around me. When the opportunity to work for The Global Mission/Chanje Movement came up, God made it very clear that this is where I was supposed to be.
The fact that everything we do at The Global Mission / Chanje Movement works towards furthering God’s kingdom is why I love what I do. On top of that, I get to work with a team of committed, like-minded, hardworking and grace-filled people which makes it all the better to come to work each day.
The hardest thing I’ve encountered in my 11 years of working at the Chanje Movement is being a witness to the destruction and evil that directly affects God’s people in this broken world. Jesus tells us in John 16:33 that we will have trouble in this world. But to see it so closely and to feel helpless in circumstances out of anyone’s control is really difficult. But just as Jesus finishes in John 16:33, he says “But take heart I have overcome the world!” And that is what I will do, continue to work fighting the good fight and allowing Jesus to overcome evil each and every day. I’m grateful that this evil that touches too many of God’s people isn’t the end of the story!
