Our ministry theme for this year is “Shine The Light” and it is based off John 1:5, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Over the past 6 years, Chanje Movement has endured a series of incredibly dark seasons. Although circumstances are always difficult in Haiti, these dark seasons were times when we felt that our ministry specifically was being attacked either physically, financially, emotionally, or spiritually. Sometimes, it was all 4.
But through every dark and turbulent season, the light of Jesus shone through. Sometimes it was a small candle flame, providing just enough warmth and light for us to take the next step. And sometimes His light was brilliant, illuminating His miraculous plan, giving us the energy to not just get by but to celebrate. But always, no matter what, His light has been with us and not once has the darkness overcome it.

We know that you, the Chanje Community, have walked through these seasons with us while also enduring many of your own personal dark seasons. And even if our circumstances don’t change (although we pray that they do!) we want to celebrate with you this year. We want to celebrate the fact that the light ALWAYS shines in the darkness and the darkness NEVER overcomes it.
Thank you for the many ways you have and continue to reflect the light of Jesus to the children in Haiti, the Haitian staff, the kids at Chanje Lakay, and the US Staff. We are grateful for 12 years of ministry together and can’t wait to celebrate through another year with this amazing community.
